First off, I love Susan Grant and her sci-fi Romance novels. She's THE premier and best sci-fi romance author in print, period. That's not an opinion. It's a fact.

SYNOPSIS:
Moonstruck is about an Admiral who has spent her entire career killing Drakkens and waging war. To her dismay, peace has broken out. The Admiral has to adapt to captaining a unified ship staffed with her own and several dozen of their new allies, the nasty backward, evil, smelly Drakkens. Only Finn, her Drakken second in command knocks Admiral Britt tea kettle upside down with desire.

The Drakken have to prove they are not blood thirsty mass murderers. Finn falls for Britt, but finds himself fighting his old enemies, and enemies within.

The only think I dislike, is that the Admiral Heroine has..... really long hair. Huh? Who has time or inclination to care for a mess like that while fighting an intergalactic war? I'm pretty sure, they ration water on spaceships, so long hair would get washed like - once a year?!

This is part of a series of books Susan Grant wrote that is funny and slap full of cosmic scale adventure. She really brings stories to life and I for one will always buy her novels. I read this one several years ago, and had the urge to bush up on the Warleader Pirate and his lovely Admiral Britt.

Wonderful story of future love, hate, politics showing that the gamet of all humanoid species share the same possibilities in traits.
It's 400 a.m. & I'm tired, and totally satisfied! This is a well-written, tightly edited story full of action, suspense, authentic romance, tasteful sizzle and an excellent HEA. I ADORE Susan Grant's work & intend to read more of her books!
Susan Grant is one of the best space romance writers out there. This is an excellent example of where a confident and competent heroine meets the man, not of her dreams exactly, maybe more like her worst enemy. But then they fall in love. The background political conspiracy was very well done.
I had come across this story a few years ago and marked it as a "we'll see". Eventually I bought it. It's really interesting, even though the whole futuristic spec isn't one of my favorite backdrops. But the story was good, the side dramas intriguing. And I have looked up the other stories that branch from this one.
Sometimes I need a change from the series or should I say type of series that I often read, and when I have,I reach for the stars and storylines that this author writes. She encompasses great action packed romance novels that make me laugh and cry, get hot and angry. This is another great read.
Susan Grant is one of my all-time favorite authors. I love how she combines Science Fiction, action, adventure and romance. In Moonstruck, Brit is a very strong woman who has a reputation as being heartless. Brit is an admiral in the Coalition and she really isn't ready to embrace the peace treaty between the Coalition and the Drakken. Finn is a leader in the Drakken military and he wants a better life for himself and his crew. The book is exciting as well as great character development. Both Brit and Finn need to overcome their prejudices in order to keep the Galaxy from falling back into war.
I truly enjoyed this book. It was amazing to see Brit heal throughout the story. Their romance was epic. I would definitely recommend this book.
